The planned rail infrastructure in Gurgaon Manesar Urban Complex is illustrated in the adjacent diagram. The rail networks include four different types of rail systems viz: Indian railways, Rapid Rail Transit System, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Metro & Gurgaon of the above mentioned four systems are planned along major arterial roads networks in the area
making them the urban metro highways. This creates aMetro. Three out new set of opportunities and possibilities for last mile connectivity to make the city safe, reduce dependence on vehicles and make Gurgaon a people oriented city.
Planning of metro stations along the inhumanely large road sections fails
to harness the optimal development potential around these stations leaving only a park and ride model feasible. Hence use of public motorized transport like buses, to connect and serve majority of the residential population is the best possible way to introduce human scale to the envisaged development plan.
